Stamped and Decorative Concrete in Kaysville
Decorative concrete is where a plain slab turns into a patio, driveway, or entry that reads like stone or pavers without the price tag. We stamp it, color it, expose the aggregate, and border it to fit the look you're after. But the finish only lasts if what's under it is right, so we don't treat stamping as a shortcut around the prep. We build the slab the way we'd build any slab, then put the decorative work on top and seal it for freeze and thaw. Clean, sharp finish work is a big part of what folks around here call us for.
What's included
Stamped and Decorative, done the right way.
- Stamped patterns pressed into fresh concrete to read like stone, slate, brick, or wood plank.
- Integral and broadcast color, from a single earth tone to layered accent colors and antiquing.
- Exposed aggregate finishes and decorative borders or bands to frame a patio or drive.
- Full base prep, rebar, and control joints under every decorative pour, same as any slab we build.
- A sealer over the finished surface, plus resealing guidance so it keeps its color and sheds winter salt.

Why the sealer is the real test here
Decorative concrete lives or dies by two things in our climate: the base and the sealer. The same clay soil that heaves and cracks a plain slab will crack a stamped one, so the prep, the rebar, and the control joints have to be right before we ever press a pattern. Then there's winter. Freeze and thaw and the road salt and ice melt that come with it will scale and dull a decorative surface that isn't sealed and kept up. So we cure it right, seal it with a product built for this climate, and tell you how to maintain it. Do both and your decorative work still looks good years down the road.
